Why I AM ZETA

Jessilyn Taylor

I believe in the core principles of Zeta, scholarship, service, sisterly love, and finer womanhood. I grew up admiring two successful women in my life, my mother and grandmother, both Finer women of Zeta. I knew I wanted to strive to walk in their footsteps.  Just like them, I know how important it is to strive for excellence, and strive to better the community around us. Being a member has allowed me  to form strong bonds with so many Finer Sorors.

Being a Zeta is a lifestyle. Being a Zeta is knowing that wherever you go, you have sisters you can call on for anything. Being a Zeta is a blessing. The beat of my heart cries Z-Phi-B.

I Am Zeta, Zeta Is Me

Why I AM ZETA

What made me choose Zeta?

As a young freshman on campus, I was Welcomed with open arms by the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on campus. One in particular, Melanie. She not only mentored me, but made sure that I was taken care of while I was away from my parents’ home.

She and the other ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. did for me what no one on campus had done for me, and that was look out for me and accept me. I knew from that moment that I wanted to be a part of an organization that was full of sister hood and love.

I am a Zeta because it stands out.

It stands out from the Scholarship to service , Sisterhood and most definitely the FINERWOMENHOOD.

I am a Zeta because I wanted to be surrounded by strong, educated and humble women.
