The local chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Kappa Zeta Chapter, was honored to sponsor the “Miss Blue Revue 2020 Scholarship Pageant”.
Miss Blue Revue is a scholarship fundraising event to benefit local young ladies aspiring to pursue a secondary education.
This year’s Pageant was held on Saturday, March 2, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rose Heights Community Life Center, 2120 Old Omen Road, Tyler, Texas. This year’s pageant also included a reception following the pageant. The young ladies contestants ranged in age from 13 to 18 years of age.

Sky'la Jade McGrew
Sky’la Jade McGrew, is a Sophomore at Whitehouse High School and plans to study Anesthesiology at an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). She has been selected for the National Honor Society and has a 3.5 GPA. Taking all Pre-AP and AP courses, Sky’la is on the AB Honor Roll. A member of Young Virtuous Women, Sky’la also does Athletic Training and is a member of AHS Dance Studio.
Her parents are Bishop Nickalous McGrew and Jennifer McGrew. Sky’la’s escort was John Turman who attends Tyler Lee High School. His parent is Juinetta Ingram.
MyTai Elizabeth Dennis
Currently, a Senior from Whitehouse High School, MyTai Elizabeth Dennis, was awarded the Spirit Stick from her AME Church Young People Division. She has received various Academic Awards. She participated in Volleyball and Basketball. She is a member of HOSA- Future health professionals of America, and is on the A Honor Roll. She plans to attend Tyler Junior College and complete the Registered Nurse Program. Future plans also include attending UT Arlington or LSU for a Master’s in Nursing and complete the Nurse Practitioner Program.
MyTai’s parents are Ronnie and Vanita Dennis. Her escort was Jeremiah McGowen, whose parents are Tim and Regina McGowen. He attends Tyler Junior College.
Sanaa Le'Jade Reece
Sanaa Le’Jade Reece is a freshman at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. She is in Honor classes, Theater, member of HOSA – Future Health Professionals of America, and participates as an athletic trainer. She is also the freshman Cheerleader manager. She plans to attend Tyler Junior College and pursue a degree in the Medical Field.
Sanaa parents are Josephine Martin and Trell Reece. Her escort was Isaiah Chimney and attends Tyler Lee High School. His parent is Joyce Griggs.
